Brisbane’s Best Dog Behaviourist and Training Specialist
Dog Listening is about learning how to communicate with your dog in a way that THEY understand: it is not something you do to you dog, it is quite simply a lifestyle you have with your dog. Dog Ease Brisbane South and Northside Dog Training can help you get there.
Sometimes owning a dog, no matter how much we love them, can be extremely hard work but this doesn’t always have to be the case. At DogEase Brisbane South and Northside Dog Training we firmly believe that using the method of Dog Listening trains owners on how to effectively communicate with their dog. Learning how your dogs mind works and understanding how to communicate with them, will enable your dog to have self control, resulting in a calm and happy dog, thus ensuring behavioural problems diminish. DogEase provides a complete range of services to ensure you have the best possible relationship with your dog and our aim is to teach you – the owner how to understand your dog and its behaviour. The more you understand your dog and how it behaves – the better the relationship.
We just wanted to say thank you for your expertise in teaching us in how to 'listen' to our new little staffy cross rotty? All your advice made so much sense and when put into practice has resulted in a well behaved dog. Thank you also for talking to us Monday night (public holiday) and helping us with our puppy's crying at night. After doing what you suggested she didn't cry / bark every few hours like all the other nights. It was such a relief! Having now experienced 'dog listening' I wouldn't bring a dog up any other way. We can not thank you enough.
Our 14 gorgeous month old border collie has been anxious and has loved to bark ever since we got her as a pup. We tried everything that the vet, our friends and the internet told us but the barking would only stop temporarily, then the neighbours would start complaining again. Then a friend recommended I call Sacha and the relief I felt after just talking to her was huge. She came and met Josie and Josie responded so well that we knew it wasgoing to work. After only a little over a week, Josie is now much calmer, is barking a lot less and we are well on our way to becoming her chosen parents. I even get cuddles now, which I never have before!
Our dog weighs 58kg at 12 mths. Like any puppy, she is very excitable which is fine at half her size but not at 58kg! We seemed to spend our time yelling Ruby NO (just ask our neighbours!). It was impossible to walk her and she refused to come when called. A friend recommended Sacha and the results have been nothing less than extraordinary. We quickly learnt that we were the ones that needed training on how to be parents to our dog. Now Ruby actually listens to us. We can take her for walks, knowing she is not going to pull us over when she sees another dog or person. In my opinion, Sacha is the best trainer in Brisbane ( I've tried a few ) and I cannot recommend more highly. She's a great girl, says it how it is, gives loads of advice and most importantly, gets the results and fast!
I just wanted to Thank-you for everything you have done to help us and our little dog. Snowy is now almost completely off medication for her behaviour problems which she has been on for more than a year and is a much happier and more confident little dog.
The information you gave us has been invaluable, Snowy responded instantly when we changed how we interacted with her following your rules. We had struggled for over 2 years and you helped us in one visit. We can't thank you enough: we only wish we had met you earlier!
I heard about Dogease through a friend. With a new baby I was keen to get out walking but felt guilty every time as we would leave our gorgeous Labrador at home. She's never been easy on the lead but with the pram, I found her pulling got worse and I felt unsafe. Sacha immediately understood our worries and I felt confident in booking a consult which could also address some other problems. Sacha showed an amazing understanding and ability with our dog I can't say enough what a difference it has made. Well worth it!!
We would just like to Thank You for your help. I had no idea what we where doing was causing all the problems, once you explained everything it just made perfect sense, and to know we can do it in a way that doesn't hurt or scare our dog (as some of the advise in the past was to do just that) makes us feel we can really help her. We have seen changes already and it has made us even more determind to keep it up and follow though for the sake of our dogs happiness. We truly love her and it was very upsetting seeing her so stressed. Now we love her even more as her true personality has really started to shine though and what a joy she is. We can not thank you enough and will recommend you to all our friends.
Thank you for all your help and advice with Alfie. Within 3 days of your visit he ate all of his morning food which he had never previously done in the all time we have had him (approximately 8 months at the time). In addition, your advice on barking meant that we have been able to take off his scented bark collar and leave him in the courtyard during the day. When he has barked when we have been at home he has reacted positively to your technics.
We have noticed that he is generally calmer and more receptive to instructions.
Finally, the advice to his sleeping routine at night has worked wonders. Previously he would wake us up at about 3am on a daily basis but now he puts himself to bed when he is tired and sleeps through to when we wake up without making any noise.
Thank you again for helping us with Alfie and for your on-going telephone advice.
You came to see us with our dogs Lilly and Stella, we wanted you to know that our dogs have completely changed - now calm and relaxed. We went out for two hours on Saturday and left a recorder on, when we returned and listened to the recording there was not one bark. We have completely maintained what you taught us about the food and reconnecting along with everything else. Yesterday I began walking them on lead and not once did they even think about pulling. I still can not play with them together as Lilly won't let Stella get the toy, but this is improving daily.
I will send you a photo of the dogs during a storm so relaxed.
Thank you so much for your help and ongoing support.
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write but I have been wanting to thank you and let you know how well Simba has been since your visit.
As you know we were at our wits end with Simba's separation anxiety since our move to a new house, and with our neighbour calling us up to 3x a day whilst we were at work to complain about her behaviour (howling, barking and frantically trying to escape) we were quite desperate.
You came out to see us at Bribie Island on a Sunday with very little notice, and gave up spending time with overseas guests to help us for which we were very grateful.
The day following your visit we had to leave our dogs at home all day and anxiously anticipated further calls from our neighbour - they never called! We spoke to them a few days later and they were amazed at the difference in Simba's behaviour - they had been planning to let us know but just wanted to check it was going to last!
To this day we have not had a single complaint! The changes we made to our behaviour were to our minds very minor but so very effective. Simba is still a bit highly strung but we know that we have the tools to work through this now.
Thank you again so very much.
Thanks so much for today and the new wisdom I learnt. Dinner was a breeze with only one whine (compared to the crazy whining, jumping and barking) which will get even better tomorrow I'm sure. My husband was blown away when he got home with the massive change in just one day. I will keep you posted with our progress.
