New Baby Introduction
Having a newborn come into your life is one of the biggest experience anyone can have, and certainly for new parents can be a daunting time on its own. However not knowing how your dog will react to the new baby can be frightening. Unfortunately far too many dogs are given up for adoption or euthanised simply because the new parents haven't prepared themselves correctly, and that "fur-baby" who they used to treat as their first born is dismissed.
It doesn't have to be frightening, preparation is the key.
Knowing what should be done before the baby arrives can take all those fears away. This can help make not only making bringing your baby home a safe and calm time, but also help the dog understand what is going on. In most cases you have up to 9 months to prepare your dog for these changes, so don't let it be last on the list. It is unfair to expect the dog to change or know what is going on without any help from you.
In-Home New Baby Introduction
A trainer will come to your home and discuss all the things that need to happen before your bundle of joy comes home. You will be given a program to help you and your family keep on track with all changes that need to take place. Once your baby comes home the trainer will revisit to iron out any problems you are having, (this of course is not just a chance to see your beautiful new baby).
PLEASE REMEMBER NEVER LEAVE A CHILD UNATTENED WITH ANY ANIMAL.
